The Florida Department of Transportation, District 4 is looking for a candidate to fill in the position of TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER.
Responsibilities include Develop and review project traffic which requires the development of specific link volumes, turning movements and other data necessary for the proper design of highways and/or operational improvements. Perform multi-modal demand forecast using the appropriate demand forecast models and methodologies. Serve as the project manager for Systems Planning projects on corridor feasibility studies, Planning and Conceptual Engineering (PACE) studies and General Systems Planning Services, and more.

The travel characteristics databases utilized in the Data Mining and Interpretation Workshop are now available for download, including the Census, the American Community Survey (ACS), the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS) and the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD).
When available, documentation is provided with each database.

The Southeast Florida FSUTMS Users Group is proud to co-sponsor the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Workshop, hosted by the Broward MPO, on September 21st or 22nd, 2011.
The goal of this one-day workshop is to help participants more effectively plan for and implement TOD within the Southeast Florida context. The workshop will bring together representatives from local governments, regional/metropolitan and state agencies, transit agencies, the private sector and other parties interested in TOD. Eight (8) hours of Professional Development Hours (PDH) credits for Florida PEs will be provided.

The workshop provided an overview of the FHWA Traffic Analysis Toolbox and presentations on innovative traffic analysis tool applications being used nationwide.
