Planning for Visitors
Orlando had a record-setting 75 million annual visitors in 2018, increasing 4.2 percent over 2017. What are the impacts of these visitors on our transportation system? How do we plan for them through our regional planning process?
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to participate in this lively discussion focusing on the impacts of tourism on Central Florida’s transportation network and how their needs are accommodated by the public and private sectors. Bring your questions about how future planning efforts will address the millions of tourists that come to the region annually. Panelists include representatives from Universal Parks and Resorts, Walt Disney Imagineering, Metroplan Orlando, LYNX, Orange County Convention Center, and Visit Orlando. The event will be moderated by Billy Hattaway, Transportation Director, City of Orlando.
Meet and Greet—11:30 AM • Panel Discussion—12:00 Noon
