All Things Brevard: Air Space and Sea – What’s Happening in Space Coast’s Airport, Seaport, and Spaceport Industries?
The Space Coast is a global leader in space commerce with its history of government missions and a thriving commercial space industry. It is also home to flourishing seaport and aviation industries which serve as an integral part of the state’s economy. This is your opportunity to learn about all the exciting happenings in the Space Coast of Florida and how the transportation system serves as the backbone for economic development.
The event will start with an introduction by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Freight and Logistics Office, highlighting partnerships in the region. This will be followed by presentations from Space Florida, Port Canaveral, and the Melbourne International Airport about their initiatives in commercial space operations, cargo and cruise activities, and commercial aviation. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by the Executive Director of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) focusing on how each of these industries are integral to and contributing to the intermodal system as well as the state’s economic development.
