The license file upgrade for FSUTMS/Cube Suite is now available for public agencies use, only as per the license agreement between FDOT and Citilabs. The file contains the license for Cube Base, Voyager, Cluster and Avenue, that is usable until December 31, 2010. To download the file please click HERE.

Citilabs has announced plans to relocate its software development and testing team from Alameda, California, to Tallahassee. The move, to take place during the first quarter of 2010, will allow FDOT to work more closely with the Cube Voyager software developer to implement many of the model enhancements recommended by the Model Task Force. We welcome Citilabs to Tallahassee and look forward to working with them!

The Model Task Force tri-chairs are pleased to announce that the Florida Model Task Force will meet in Orlando November 9-10, 2009. This meeting--the first in two years for the full task force--will be an important opportunity for us to discuss many vital decisions about the future of modeling in Florida. The FDOT Systems Planning Office is pleased to announce the release of our new FSUTMS Online Training site. Online web-based training is now available for the FSUTMS Executive Summary Seminar, and the FSUTMS Comprehensive Modeling Workshop. These online workshops will provide modelers, planners, and engineers the modeling training they need when they cannot attend in-person training events.

On June 12 FHWA and Census Staff hosted a webinar on the Census Bureau's plans for defining Urbanized Area Boundaries. At the webinar more questions were asked than there was time answer. Consequently all the questions were collected and Q/A developed. A new issue of the Florida Transportation Modeling Newsletter has been published and posted on the newsletter page. This issue discusses the Model Task Forces's near-term priorities, FDOT's plans to reorganize the model training program, new air quality modeling requirements, and the new FSUTMS REPORTS application. The issue also provides updates on the Cube-version statewide model and the National Household Travel Survey.
